Each of our technicians is experienced in evaluating and preparing the concrete floor to meet our rigorous standards. The first step is the most critical; we prepare the surface with a controlled chemical etching process and/or the use of a diamond grinder. This process is paramount to achieving a porous and contaminant-free surface.
The process is continued by performing any crack and divot repair. The expansion joints (if present) are partially filled with an elastomeric sealer. Next, the first coat is applied and the decorative color chips are broadcast directly into this coat.
The third stage of our process entails sanding and/or scraping the first coat to achieve the desired amount of texture. We take necessary precautions to keep the dust to a minimum. In addition, we may use an anti-skid aggregate at the customer's request. This stage is completed by the application of a clear coat.
The surface is lightly sanded and an additional clear coat is applied.
